I <3> SHANGHAI AND YAN AN H.S

yups had a beli nice time over at shanghai and hangzhou.
the food there is sure cheap and nice.
not to mention the weather.
hahas so cooling. natural aircon.
so save money sia.
outdoor is even colder than indoor.
totally different frm s'pore.
but one thing which irritates mi quite a bit is that they can smoke indoor.
practically everywhere they wan lor.
they can even smoke in the hotel lobby sia.
realli cannot tahan.
i supposed China's no.1 killer diseases should be LUNGS CANCER and THROAT CANCER ba.
i take in an average of 15 mins of second hand smoke everyday.
can someone help mi calculate how many hrs is my lifespan shorten?

personally i think china should implement the horning-paying system.
they horn like nobody's business la.
and they barely follow the lines on the road.
they drive anywhere as they wish.

but it was a totally new experience to mi and it certainly is a great one.
now i shuld start sharing my life in shanghai.

had dinner with my family at that Sakura thingy at science centre there.
then my dad drove mi back hm to get the red band cos i forgot to tie it onto my luaggage.
luckily its onli a 5 minutes trip.
hahas then we headed for the airport.

Mr Lim had plenty of bands with him la.
should not have rushed hm.
hahas then i sat with benghow and junyang on the plane.
they beli the funny.
i'm entertain throughout the flight.
hahas its a night flight so we reached PuDong airport in the morning.
haha then at the check passport there hor, sits 2 ppl. one male one female.
onli one person is doin the things and the other one just sit down there and watch the other one working.
gt many human resources oso don nid like tat to waste de ma.

27.11.2006(mon)

ok tat was the first day of my journey without parents.
onli frends and teachers.
haha everything seemed okay until we steped out of the airport.
wow so cold.
i was down there playing with the air vapour and was kana suan-ed by xuanhan.
say mi childish.
sian la.
we took the coach and headed for Yan An High School.
2 hrs ride leh.
so style lor.
its within shanghi yet still nid 2 hrs.
go round the s'pore one time in 40km/h oso don nid 2 hrs lor.
everyone was so tired and slept on the bus.
onli jiamin the photo takin freak awake.
takin pics throughout the bus ride.
hahas then we saw one interesting board which writes "FREE PARK".
can anyone explain to mi?

it was meant to be "FREE PARKING" or "PARKING FOR FREE" ma.
so style la.
free park sia.

hahas finally reached YanAn H.S le.
we were arranged to live in the guest hostel.
machiam hotel lor.
got attatched bathroom,2 beds,balcony,aircon,tv and even the lights of the hotel.
so thankful to the principal, v.principal and teachers over there.
they were great host and we were given such previllege to live in such nice hostel.
its totally different from tat of the students hostel.
students de hostel is 2 double decker.
no tv, no attatch bathroom.
nothing.
small and simple.
but i am real sad to say tat the water has some weirdy smell and its YELLOW in colour.
i don even dare to wash my hands and bathe with tat.
i told them i rather keep my hands dirty than have any contact with the water.
but i gave in.
i used it to wash my face but absolutely not for brushing my teeth.

since i started on the school life on them, let mi say more about their education system.
their system quite different from ours.
theirs is the elites will gather at one school, average ones at one school.
unlike ours, we have a mixture of the very better ones and the better ones in one school.
then they can onli go home on fri after school and come back at sun night.
other than tat, they will have to live in the students hostel.
they will have to study until 4 pm leh.
40 mins per period and a 10 mins break in between each period.
cannot go toilet in the middle of the class de.
so different.
most imptly, their lessons are all conducted in CHINESE.
alamak i can barely understand a word.
cos teachers sometimes will add dialects in the sentence.
i cant differentiate when is chinese when is shanghai words.

diverted my attention abit.
ok back to the story of my day.
had lunch after we settled our things in the hostel.
omg.
the food is so damn lot and nice.
they try to give us different kind of food everyday and no repeatition.
so thoughtful.
the teacher even say that we can ask the cook to cook any shanghai delicacies which we wan to try.
but of course we didnt la.
we not tat picky.
hahas and it was not surprised to see the band and co sitting on 2 different tables.
not tat we dislike each other but not beli close so will paiseh de ma.
Mr Shashi found out the trend and so he couldnt juz leave it as it is.
so he said that we muz have a mixture everyday during the meal.
one table. half co half band.
hahas it was fun and i am realli beli happy that both CCAs established a beli strong relationship and bonds.
we are no longer catagorised as CO or BAND but as performing arts.
we mingled with each other alot during the trip.
there wasnt any line separating us. YEAS!!
after the meals the 12 of us were separated into 12 classes and i met up with 2 of my buddies. TU JIAN QIU and ZHOU JIN YU.
hahas had a real hard time trying to rmb their names and i onli did it in the 3rd day.
so weak la.
hahas i was appointed to sit beside my gal buddy.
she suddenly ask mi this qns leh
`"heard tat u can wear slippers in s'pore." i was like huh?? why cannot wear??
so interesting leh.
cos she say shanghai too dirty.
wear le will cry. hahas.
interesting rite??
i was shocked too.
i muz realli admit that 40 mins is way too long for a s'pore kid like mi.
terrible and horrible esp when i don understand a freakin thing taught in class.

had dinner and went down to the convenient store inside their school campus.
haha the food there so cheap la.
one icecream cone only 60 cents.
junda bought pocky and it's so damn nice.
totally diff from s'pore de.
i don noe y.
but the chocolate flavour is so thick and it stays in your mouth.
s'pore de i cant even taste the chocolate sia.
hahas then we bought ice cream and ate it outdoor.
so shiok.
cold plus cold. we nearly froze to death. hahas.

all co members went to junda and xuanhan de room to do the presentation thing.
shufen and shangfei had to present so we had to do a dry run.
they all not ready so i lied down on junda de bed to have a rest.
but hahas, u should noe wat happened after that.
it was already morning when i next opened my eyes aft being in the room for presentation.
i turned to my left and saw one bed lower than mine.
hahas.
junda and xuanhan had to separate one bed into 2 cos i occupied junda's de.
lol. real sorry and pai seh la.
from wat i heard from junda
he said everyone tried to wake mi up.
they even played with my hand, shake mi like siao and call my name.
but i supposed i have no reaction to tat.
they say i gt reply them and i sat up once then went back to sleep.
hahas but i realli don have memories of that part.
jiamin even ask them to try see if i still breathin or nt sia.

joined them for their everyday morning exercise.
haha they all beli discipline de.
they line up row by row column by column.
beli neat and tidy machiam malaysia de plantations.
no such thing as teacher scold then do.
hahas morning exercise was fun.
its like aerobics.
and its sure a totally new experience to do it in the cold weather.
i still couldnt adapt to the cold weather then.
still will shake once i get outdoor.
they were made to run one round in their stadium plus one round in their field during P.E lessons.
of course i'm not spared or something like tat.
i ran.
hahas running is small case but its beli cold and every air tat i take in is cold air.
wow finish running liao my right lung cannot tahan.
breathe will pain like siao.
then start to cough.
i think the teacher sicko de leh.
ask them to run in such harsh weather.
hahas then i went into the toilet.
alamak the door is so short.
it probably can onli cover up to my waist.
anything above the waist is exposed to the ppl outside lor.
then one thing tat i noticed is tat some don hav the habit of washin their hands aft goin to the toilet.
stylo la.
switched on the tv at night, cant even find a channel in english.
everything is in chinese.
even soccer telecast oso in O.S in chinese de leh.
see liao will scared le lor.
hahas and during winter de time the night turns dark at ard 530.
beli beli cool de.
so different frm s'pore. we don even have such thing here.

29.11.2006(wed)

onli nid to study half day cos 3 pm have to go no.1 high school for an exchange.
i was kinda excited cos initially ms toh say mayb can go out shop shop aft lunch then go no.1 H.S. but ms tay said NO!
AHHH.
sad la.
then they went to play bball so everyone tag along.
james hurt his ankle becos of that.
everyone thot it was just a minor sprain but it turned out to be a fractured.
then it was so serious tat he have to be sent to hospital.
tats nt the worse thing. he needs to return back to s'pore the nxt day.
everyone felt sad for him esp for band de ppl.

but so funny la.
the first doc said"need to operate"
second doc said "no nid for operation"
then we were jkin tat the third doc will ask"nid to operate or not?"
lame la. how can 2 docs say diff thing?

hahas then we went back to the hostel and played piggy game and heart attack in jiong hong de room.
so fun!!
then 3e5 ppl bought back many many food cos they went out to hav dinner with their china frends.
i had many of them and xuanhan junda were stuffin themselves with the springroll and buns. shangfei and shufen helped by eating 1 or 2.

ah kiao changed room with jiamin so i'm sleepin with ah kiao=))yeahs.

30.11.2006(thu)

yups. today is the second last day of the staying in Yan An H.S.
made alot of good frends and i'm starting to think tat i will miss them dearly when i leave Yan An.
was made to prepare a speech in eng but it turned out to be in chinese cos they couldnt understand.
haha then y in the first place the teacher ask mi to say in eng?
ok but tats not the case.
i kinda stuned them.
hahas so happy.
at least gt one thing can haolian.
but actually i used simple de eng juz tat i speak like bullet train then it seemed so chim.
heyheys.
had some sort of a little xchange wid the co students there. we watched dizi erhu liuqin and guzheng de performance.
hahas i muz say tat they r reali pros.
cos the school can use musical grades to get ino the school. so everyone of them are grade nine and abv.
junda and xuanhan performed solos.
xuanhan played the piano and the song he played was specially composed for QIAOHUI!!! alamak. so romantic la.
hahas.

went out to the mega mart at night to buy farewell gifts for our frends.
it was super fun and that was the first time we went out shoppin.
shangfei and junda were acting couples and she hid her bad under her coat and it seemed like she's pregnant.
someone passed by and gave a strange expression.
he realli believe leh.
we laugh till we drop dead la.
cos shangfei looked quite matured in her coat.
bought stuffs from the mart and was super pissed off la.
they don hav any price tag on it and it was super troublesome to pay.
the workers there like tortoise and their attitude sucks la.
don feel like workin then don work la.
no one force them lor.
mart so big onli one cashier.
slow like siao lor.
she took approximately more than 5 minutes to collate all the prices la.
all of us were so bo song lor.
then came some china ppl.
cos the cashier had to get someone to get the tag then can scan the price and the queue stayed still for more than 5 mins.
wait awhile oso cannot lor.
they cut queue and demanded the cashier to attend to them first.
xuanhan was down there scolding them ******* *********.
hahas. ok.
walked back and acted couples with xuanhan.
he's her and i'm him. ah.
he actually had kenneth le.
hahas kenneth super funny la.
cos we were the side dish and the main dish in s'pore. so kenneth came up with a name for us.

hahas so unfair but had to make do with it.
he's the da cai and i'm xiao cai. so cool.

1.11.2006(fri)

ahhh. everything is coming to an end.
leavin Yan An H.S at 12.
i realli don bear to leave cos i made mani mani good frends.
they gave mi a drawing and a fare well card.
i'm realli beli grateful la.
all of them apologised cos they couldnt get mi presents.
they're stucked in school for the whole week.
but their thoughts meant alot to mi.
i cried even before leaving
was suan-ing mi all the time but its bcos he wanted mi to stop crying.
i'm realli touched.
the lessons were usually like living hell to mi.
but i suddenly hoped it will last for eternity.
good thing willl always come to an end.
i will have to leave and they will become parts of my memories.
shida jinyun jianqiu caoliang geli(jialing) feifei xiaoxuan and zhouying sent mi off till the beli end. i cried like siao lor.
it hurts more when i saw geli cryin.
missed them lots.
mi continued to sms them on the bus and geli told mi that the class regretted nt sending mi off cos smth crop up.
it doesnt realli matter to mi cos i always believe tat its the thoughts tat count=))

i am still wearing the ring tat geli gave to mi,caoliang's bracelet, feifei's earing and daixin's lucky jade ornament.

2.12.2006(sat) + 3.12.2006(sun) + 4. 12.2006(mon)

met up with all the students for this trip and started our sight-seeing journey.
ok. nths fascinating about those places we visited.
but its realli freezin cold outdoor and my gloves arent doin mi any good.
freeze until will pain de.
at times i realli scared i will have to amputate my fingers sia.
we often had to travel for more than 20 minutes and its so irritating.
most of us missed and prefered YanAn's food to restaurant de.
it wasnt my day ba.
my shampoo spilled and dirtied my luggage.
damn pekchek cleaning up.
couldnt remember much abt those few days.
i supposed nth significant happened.

but there i one thing i will have to mention.
damn that JOSEPH NG JUN YUAN.
pranker la.
i went to look for xuanhan for mine and jiamin de DragonWell tea.
$60 per can leh. so ex.
his room is like one big wall away from mine.
i left my door open cos ah kiao was bathing and if i took out the card the electricity will cut off.
stupid mi.
i could have replaced the hotel card with any normal card.
but i didnt thought of tat.
anyway, i left my door open but not exactly wide open.
joseph was wandering ard cos he didnt take his card out and vincent was bathing.
i think he sneaked into my room without mi noticing and he hid in my closet lor.
i went back to my room and i heard something like the door shakin.
i freaked out la.
i tot it was junda and xuanhan playing pranks again.
but it continued and it doesnt sounds like its coming from the door but i don have the courage to open the closet.
hahas then i was down there askin ah kiao to stop bathing and come out.
i realli beli scared lor.
then joseph came out and he's down there laughing like siao la.
so damn bad.
he went off huggin his stomach laughing and told everyone my reaction, coping wat i said to ahkiao.
sian diao lor.
played cards til 2 plus and went back to my room to sleep.
ah kiao's with her specs on AGAIN.
tats the second time i helped her to take off her specs.

last day in shanghai.
finally had a real chance to shop.
but it sells the same thing la.
realli didnt gain much frm that trip.
nv bought any clothes, chains or watches. [regrets]
it was then i realise that shanghainese de past time is to horn ppl. style right.

bought quite alot of stuffs and cant squeeze into my luggage.
wat to do?hand carry lor.
luckily gt beng how and joseph help mi take. real thanks=))

i gave my shanghai friends a last message.
shida tried to call mi but i already off my phone. destined ba.

went on board.
was the last time to feel the cold air and i noe i will miss it.
played games with benghow on the plane.
he's reallli a nice guy.

FRIDAY: jiaying suddenly sms mi and said tat she's at the void deck of my hse wor.
hahas i tot she was just kidding.
then i went down and i realli saw her.
she was attendoin some church carnival at the newly built church near my hse, Grace Assembly Of God.
then we went to look for yujuan tgt.
she was tellin mi her church account on the way to yujuan's home.
jiaying was so pissed of by one church guy and she cried.

met up wid yujuan and u noe wats the thing she tell mi first??
hahas its the gathering thing.

but the ppl there beli good.
kind and friendly. especially the PASTOR.

went home at 4 plus cos i realli cant slp over there.

the pastor came to mi and he told mi to get one guy to accompany mi cos he thinks its safer that way.
the pastor was so kind.
we were takin the lift and he was askin for my name and we chatted for a lift time.
hahas he "escorted" mi to the entrance even though its ok for him not to do so.

SATURDAY: finally HOME SWEET HOME.
slept for 2 hrs and woke up for co.
nth much abt the open hse.
hahas but i learnt how to play yangqin and zhongyinsheng.
hahas my biggest accomplishment.
pei jin teach mi jun4 ma3 ben1 chi2 and i learnt one samll part and i self learn xiang1 jian1 xiao3 lu4.
hahas so fun.
most imptly i noe how to play 4 beats of WINDS CRESENTI .

went to westmall wil yuping,qiaohui,sinting and xuanhan.
sinting and xuanhan went to bbco cos they have performance at botanical garden.
the 3 of us anyhow anyhow wander ard and even help to arrange winnie the pooh and friends. yu ping said my blog was funny.

hahas the aunt that went out wid mi tat time bought the red adidas H2O bottle for mi.
she went to genting and she bought it from there.

hahas this is the first time i played the song without making any single mistake and i didnt break down at the super long xylohone part.

i nearly fainted becos of happiness.

i left my keys at my granda ma hse and no one's at home to save mi.

then we went to our friendly neighbourhood shoppin centre - WEST MALL.
that was the third or fourth time i went there this week.
went to buy lotion all those for the shaghai trip and
yujuan kept on fan-ing abt wat to wear today.
cos she is goin out with a grp of basketball and volleyball frends.
she's nt excited becos of the trip,
she's excited cos there's one bb gy whom she say beli cute.
then muz let him hab good impression.

yups as usual saw weining they all and i saw one fairy amg them..

cos nid to buy winter wear. parted with the beli vexed de yujuan and headed for the mrt.
i stepped on the escalator and when i reached the platform,
i turned left. i realli don noe which sense did i use sia.
mayb i used my left sense instead of common sense.
alamak that was the fourth or fifth time i board the wrong side of mrt le.
everytime oso like tat.
i didnt realised at first but the "scenery" outside resembles that of bukit batok's de.
ok i was on the wrong train AGAIN.

6 more days to the shanghai trip.

countin down to the shanghai days. 8 more days to the trip. ya which means i cant celebrate xiaohan de birthdae. haiis. no good de. no cake to eat. hahas.

2 consecutive co days. mr yeo changed and gave mi the xylophone scores for syf set piece. hahas i was taking the easy way out early by taking "xiao gu" de scores. hahas but mr yeo realised. so he changed everything. then hav to bring the heavy heavy glockenspiel back home to prac. todae kinda lots of seniors came back. biwei josen sien weizhe shufen shangfei. happy to see them esp shangfei. she so damn joker. loves to act alot.

ya again nth much. don feel like bloggin le. probably will abandon this blog in no time ba. hahas.

THE KING IS BACK TO POST=))

yupyup. today is oso categorize as a boring day.
mi and xuanhan went to jiamin de hse to do the grp work in preparation for the shanghai trip. hahas i realli hab to admit that i don hab "time concept"(shi2 jian1 guan1 nian4).
i was late for ard 30 mins but xuanhan was better.
he was late for 15 mins. ya.
realli sry wor guys.
then we do do do and we had to do it all in chinese lor.

AND AND AND i muz reali thank jiamin and xuanhan.
they realli do alot and i was down there crappin and onli summarizing all the things we should put in the powerpoint slides.

ok. then i met up wid yuping.
went to tiong baru.

we tot gt alot of fun things. but there's practically nth.
ya except for FOOD!!
hehes i ate one sausage prata and one durain pancake.

wanted to go to the expo food fair initially but it was too far and most imptly we were ON DIET. so cannot go.

then we picked on our nxt destination. CITY HALL.
we turn turn ard raffles city and walked all the way to marina sq.
damn long way.

ok it's nice but its not suitable for walking long dist. will pain.

yuping was hungry and as usual we will "sui bain sui bian" can't decide on wat to eat.
ended up in KFC. ya.

we were like already listing everything tat we can find in the shop le.
then she keep on crapping. cannot tahan leh.
we r beli willing ot help of course.
but she was realli getting on our nerves.
then we sneaked away when a sales asst was tokin to her.

but we at least helped her chose a strawberry shortcake de bag. i think she bought that in the end ba.

as usual, i started my day off with the comp.
i was doin the shanghai report thingy up until 1145 ytd nite lehs.
so damn tired and i onli managed to finish shanghai de.

early in the morning my bro was already making a big fuss out of everything that gets in his way.
but mi oso standard will wake up before 8 everyday de.
the alarm in mi will ring without fail.
wan to slp until 8 plus oso cannot.
then i met kaiyao online.
he oso doin the project thingy.
then we were crapping and suan-ing each other all the way.
haha we nid entertainment u noe?
then we tok tok tok until both of us were so occupied with our stuffs then the conversation came to a halt.
went back to slp aft tat and back to the comp again.
aft that i met cheltton and he was jio-ing the G4s and nic out for sakae again!!
hahas. we had so much fun tat time rite??yeas. hahas.
everything would be so fun with nic that stupid fat a** who tried to murder mi during the previous bbq>.<


it was co day and everything was the same.
hahas we gotten our set piece le.
i think it kinda sounds nice although the way we play is a lil bit comical and funny
(we were trying the scores out and u noe, our co de skills not realli tat good. sight reading oso so so nia. don expect much.)

kiathwee had to do dc and i was tryin to make things difficult for him.
but i didnt do it purposely de.

left onli mi him and 2 teachers.
so i suffered with him ok.


went to my ah ma de hse and played with my lil lil cousin.
he's so damn cute and i realli think he likes mi most(amg mi de 2 other siblings)
i must admit tat he's realli rough.
then he was standing infront of mi and i was sitting down.
i touched his small thigh(translate into chi) and said"wow, ni3 de4 jiao3 hen3 mei"(i was praising that his small thigh was beautiful). and u noe wat. he turned back, squat down, touch my legs and say"ni3 de4 bu4 mei3".
AHH.
shocked. but not becos of the beautiful not beautiful thing but becos he beli cute la. u cant imagine his face lor.

The record of my day...

my day started off with surfing the internet. then i had to go back to school for re-labelling of instruments. its a real tedious process. and someone was realli being kinda mean. tears r already rollin in my eyes le. but it didnt roll down. it would be weird if i cry in the middle of re-labelling and its realli nth to cry abt. so nvm. i beared with it. the re-labelling of instuments thingy realli beli long sia.everyone was like so hungry. lunch becum dinner le. but i realli wan to thanks NINETTE and WAETING and ELIZABETH alot. if nt for them, i think i will realli have a terrible time with those pipas and zhongruans.

i'm now eatin and bloggin infront of the comp. the rice is like onli 3/4 full with food. anyone would knw tat my mum ate them. but nvm. no big deal.
