FIRST DAY OF WORK!
commences on 28 of JAN
was so excited and looking forward to it

took the MRT and saw all kinds of ppl
it was the first time i'm on the MRT that early
then i saw this woman
her face was like sleeepy + grumpy?
she squinted her eyes and her eyebrows were like this shape ---> ~~
i was late as usual
took 964 and we are like 2 kampong girls unaware of where we were going
but the bus uncle was kind enough to inform us to board down the bus
CHIYODA was right opp the bus stop but apparently, the company was SO BIG that we didnt notice
suppose to look for ANIXTER becos CHIYODA was opp of it
but again, ANIXTER, big company
so we walked down the road and some kind ppl directed the way for us

~aft 10 mins~

just as we thought we'll be late, we reached the back gate
and was directed to the front
in the end, we ended up opp the bus stop we boarded off-.-
it was then i saw ANIXTER
the company name was hidden behind some tall trees and the design of the words are...
artistic?
if i were a passer by, i wouldnt have notice that name
its like whole chunk of letters

anyways, met the HR, Jaslyn
she started talking abt the job, the expected behaviour and me and yuping look to each other with the "DIE!" expression
we're on a pirate ship and we cant jump off):

entered the work place and this smell came rushing into our nose
WTF!
i cant explain what smell is that, probably machine smell
but its CHOKING !
had a hard time adapting to it

we were finally brought to our work place

i'm suppose to take out small sponges from a big sheet of sponge and pack them into a plastic bag and then PASTE STICKER
erm, Dan, didnt you say that it was a simple pasting of sticker job?
pasting of sticker seems to be only 1/10 of the job leh
but i cant blame them, the contract that i signed was for a TEMP PACKER position. freak!

you have no idea how tiring it is to sit down on that damn chair, look down for hours and pack
for some reason, the brain free job is straining my brain
its obvious that my neck and back are aching too
the small yellow pieces of sponges are making my head dizzy
i've got yellow sponge phobia now
what a job man:(

low pay, stinking company, boring job, waste my youth, learn nth, no beaus or hunks, far from my place, strains my brain, ache my neck, spin my head, cant run away, contract ends at 31 march
i'm really stupid enough to sign the contract
now i'm stuck to this sai gang for 2 more months

the job is so brain free that i can think of alot of stuffs at work
i thought of whether to appeal for banking or stay at accountancy like 20 times?
everytime i persuade myself to appeal, i've gt enough time to persuade myself not to
i grumbled abt how stupid i am and how life will be wonderful if i didnt take up this job

they have been asked to compensate for quite a few time becos they cannot deliver on time
feng jie(supervisor) said that their business good thats why got so many goods to rush

took so many orders yet cannot produce on time
they thought their workers are machines
so irritating when they rush for work
not as if we're having a good time cleaning your ass up
just becos they want to wear a big hat, it made all the workers rush for the goods
not as if we are paid per box completed hor
we do so fast also wont get paid more

its really a very cool show
featuring ppl with special abilities

had YUM CHA for lunch
we ate abt $13 and we paid $9 + for all those crap like tissue, chilli sauce, peanuts, tea + GST & service charge (was inevitable so that was nth much)

we then came by this stall selling some models made of wire
it was exactly the same one my bro bought in thai
he bought it at 300 Baht (approx $15) and the boss is selling at $148!!!!!!!
wth?!?!?!
hey boss, should i buy you a plane ticket and give you a calculator for you to go thai and see how much they sell huh? then you can press the calculator i gave you and divide by 23.47 to see how much it will cost in sing dollars

the waitress-es were like fighting to serve the customers
as in not literally fight
but the scene aint that nice
walking faster to reach to the customer when the waitress at the door could have served us
& walk all the way to serve the customer when one waitress is so near to our table
they are all very free too
3 person clean one 4 seater table
in like 10 secs the table is done
dont know to call it efficient or wat

was watching HEROES when i received a call from my dear jiaying
ask me whether i wanna earn $$$
typing data, 1 piece entered is 20 cents
some kinda lucky draw thingy
the 20 cents is nt easy to earn okey

eyes straining job
grabbed my laptop and went over to her house and it wasnt as fun as i thought
damn kan jiong cos she need to hand in the 800 pieces of data by 2pm
i called me only at 10 and i reached at 11 plus
she worked overnight but only completed 300 plus i think
my speed was like 50 pcs/hr
400 pieces!
although i haven been doing maths for a long time, i still can calculate that that'll take me 8 hrs
somemore i'm using laptop
the numbers were lined in a straightline

then i heard some weird sound
thought is my laptop going haywire

its my poor STOMACH!

can easily know that i'm very well fed everyday
now NO LUNCH!
wanted to call for mac delivery but it takes 45 mins to arrive
i think i'll die by then

we both thought we were going to die

but i have to comment that banking and finance is a difficult course to get into

we were suppose to go for a jog but ended up sitting at mac talking
it has always been sinful going out with her:P

went to the hospital with my popo for her checkup
took the taxi and it cost $17.55!
its only from bt batok to buona vista
the taxi metre jumps faster than the metronome *sweats

waited for quite a long time before the nurse called for my popo
so i let her play with the some kind of mind game toy
she solved it like in 15 s?

it took me quite some days to solve it

she went in and came out with her hand bleeding
the damn nurse dont know if she is qualified
she poked my popo so hard in her hand that it bleed like her blood is for free
(my popo has to poke a some sort of tube on her hand before the doc can inject something into the tube to her body)
my mum say that she could have went to the other department to request for a more professional doc to poke the tube
but i wonder why she didnt
she did the last time i went with her
the nurse would often poke her many times before they can find the suitable spot
thats why she dislike to let the nurse do the job

but my popo damn cute
she came out of the room with her mouth and eyes like a inverted parabola
whining abt her bleeding hand and the vein that was blue-blacked like a little child

had lunched and hailed a taxi for her
then i went for my job interview
1) TANJONG PAGAR : WAITRESS AT AN ITALIAN RESTAURANT
that was my first setback for the whole job interview incident
i don know the location of the freaking restaurant and i wandered ard aimlessly for like 10 mins before a good old man directed me to the AMOIST HAWKER CENTRE
does it even ring a bell to anyone?
i walked in the direction for a while and it seem that the hawker centre is no where to be seen so i gave up and headed back for the mrt

2) MARINA SQUARE : WAITRESS AT HOTPOT/HOTSPOT/HOTPOTS? RESTAURANT
holy shit
you have no idea how long it is from the mrt station to marina sq
city link is real big
i was so damn pek chek for having to travel such a long dist
but i kept myself going by psyco-ing myself that my hard work is going to pay off with a job
but it seems like it didnt
i went there, look at the directory and there wasnt even a restaurant with the word HOT!
oh my
without earing a cent, the mac got $1 for my apple pie
i'm digging so far into my negative bank-.-

3) NEWTON : ELECTRONIC DEVICES PROMOTER
i was suppose to look for NEWTON CIRCUS HAWKER CENTRE which is like so not visible
had the direction from the company
i had to walk to the overhead bridge, climb the flight of stairs, look for the toilet, go left, cross the traffic light, turn right, walk for a dist and i'll see the company
for god's sake
i can even rmb up till now
everything was so right until i made a wrong turn at the toilet
i should be FACING the toilet and turn left which the man didnt tell me its that left
i thought it was the left when coming out from the toilet
ARGH!
i ended up in the same place where i came from
which is like so totally no sense
why would the man create such a complicated route when it all goes back to the same place???
felt like giving up cos it was scorching in the aftnoon and the bag i was carrying was so heavy
but i didnt
i took the same climb the overhead bridge route back
& finally found the company

the place looked quite ulu
its like a building or rather a apartment
i've to enter the door, take the lift and open a door again
it feels as if it is a motel and thought i was done for
heng ah~
it was a decent company

a guy interview me and asked me wat i know abt some devices

me: can go online*not sure
man: what kind of phone is that?

4) NGEE ANN CITY TWR B(ORCHARD) : RECRUIT EXPRESS(AGENCY)
was scheduled for an interview for a admin job
BUT i was cheated!
i thought i'd be interview for THAT particular admin job but the person started to ask me whether i want to take up the retail asst position @ GIODARNO
???

what a day
i've realised how diff it is to look for a job
look at the things i've encountered
i think it's a hint for above that i shouldnt be working
or fated to be jobless):

hongfu & xianglong were there too
when we were starting the 2nd game, hf & xl already COMPLETED their 3rd game
we had fun, so the speed wasnt too much of a bother
but we really took quite a long time for some of the game
felt like aiming for the black ball and end all the agony

i really have to take my hat off to my BROTHER
i cant rmb how many times he've damaged his specs
but i'm sure that he has at LEAST changed 4 specs in A YEAR alone!
let alone the no of times he sent his specs for repairing
i think we patronize the shop more than any customer
we're the SUPER REGULAR CUSTOMER of theirs
i think if we were given a membership card, we'll be given 210% discount
so if i were to buy smth worth $10, they'll have to give me $10.10
